Taking it on the Road

Last week I was in the Big Easy or New Orleans in layman’s terms. It was necessary for me to attend company summit so smoking was my relaxation. New Orleans is known for its good food, good drinks, voodoo, and good times; rarely do I hear someone talk about the cigar lifestyle, so it was definitely something I was looking forward to.  While there I expect made sure to experience all the city had to offer and a lot extra. This particular weekend was Pride weekend along with the Creole Tomato Festival and the Shoedazzle/JustFab Brand Ambassador Summit. Whew!!! That was a lot.

After enjoying the great food and libations, I decided I would smoke. I ended up at a wonderful shop called Smoke on the Water Cigars. This charming place is located on Conti street right off of Decatur. When I walked in I felt welcomed immediately because the sign outside said “Adult Daycare. Leave them with us and let them smoke.” Actually, this made me feel at home.  The gentleman behind the counter was warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about cigars. Smoke on the Water has a wonderful retail area with a multitude of cigar choices. In addition to an awesome retail area, there are a couple of areas to enjoy your purchases. To make things better, you are able to bring a beer or other alcoholic beverage to enjoy while you smoke your stick because you must have libations while you are smoking your stick.

I believe when traveling you should sample all that your host city has to offer. For the cigar smoker, we are always looking for a great place to smoke and unwind. I found Smoke in the Water by using the Where to Smoke app from Cigar Aficionado and I highly recommend it. Until the next time….
